Museum Visitors Logbook


From the time the BHS Bamban Museum of History was opened on October 2005 with the visitation of the family of Mr. Marshall Skiff (New York), the museum already visited by a thousand visitors. Countless numbers of veterans and their families, students in elementary, high school, and colleges and researchers from various school institutions from nearby places frequent the museum for various purposes ranging from educational entertainment to a more sentimental journey in time.


The museum also holds a special tour to elementary students from nearby schools with programs aimed for a special historical and cultural education. Among the schools benefited from this program is the Sto. Nino Academy elementary students from Bamban. In addition, various Japanese students also visit the museum regularly. Japanese veterans and their families, along with Korean delegations and Americans living nearby Angeles City also keep a number of visitors regularly. Tourists consisting of Japanese, Americans, Koreans, and Filipino balikbayans come to the museum to view its rare collections of Filipino-American War, WWII, and Aeta exhibits.


Aside from regular museum tour, BHS also conducts a special program of touring WWII battle sites, memorial markers and important landmark in history. A group of BHS members entertains visitors who would like to go for “Lakbay Kasaysayan” which tour the downtown markers like the WWII historical markers located in the town vicinity and the various memorials like the 40th Division Memorial and the Japanese Air Fleet Memorial Shrine (Ohnishi Shrine) with the headquarters and communication tunnels.


BHS also assists high school and college students who are making thesis, term papers and historical journals related to Bamban.
